The poker chip tool has been used with success in children aged 3 to 5 years and its validity has been established by high correlations in pain ratings assigned using the PCT and the Hurt Thermometer as well as the PCT and the Oucher tool. One study however, found that most children, nurses and parents preferred the Faces scale to the PCT. The Wong-Baker FACES Pain Scale combines pictures and numbers for pain ratings. 2 It can be used in children over the age of 3 and in adults. Six faces depict different expressions, ranging from happy to extremely upset. Each is assigned a numerical rating between 0 (smiling) and 10 (crying).

This is the San Rafael Swell, a huge oval-shaped uplifted area bordered approximately by UT 24, US 6/191, UT 10 and the northern edge of Capitol Reef National Park, and bisected by I-70. Around the edges of the Swell is a ring of upturned eroded strata - the San Rafael Reef, where most of the slot canyons. Crack Canyon is a narrow slot running through the San Rafael Reef, in the San Rafael Swell near Temple Mountain. It is similar to Little Wildhorse Canyon, but it does not. Ding and Dang Canyons, San Rafael Swell, Utah Ding and Dang, also known as First and Second canyons, are the next two breaks through the San Rafael Reef west of Bell and Little Wild Horse canyons, and are reached by the same maintained access road, starting from Goblin Valley State Park.

Forgotten Canyon, San Rafael Swell, Utah It is not particularly narrow, or very long, or very deep, but Forgotten Canyon (also known as Secret Mesa Canyon) offers a perfect wilderness hike in a remote corner of the San Rafael Swell, itself one of the least visited parts of Utah.
